Top Perth Attractions

One of the most popular attractions in South West Australia is the chance for visitors to get close to dolphins at one of the many sanctuaries such as the famous Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort. Other attractions include the wilderness areas including the famous Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park.

In and around Perth itself, you can visit the pleasant resort town of Fremantle, and take a short trip to the offshore island of Rottnest - home of the famous Quokkas.

Shopping in Perth

In Perth itself there are a number of good shopping malls where you can stock up on anything you might need if you plan to tour the area by car. On the weekend, there are a number of flea markets that take place just outside the city centre where you can pick up some crafts, and even artwork produced by the local aboriginal tribe.

In Fremantle and the other coastal resorts, there are the usual mix of art galleries and surf shacks selling whatever you need to enjoy your time on the beach.

Perth Sporting Events

The sport scene in Perth is typical Australia, with rugby league, cricket, and Aussie rule football being the most popular of the spectator sports. Surfing and scuba diving is available close to Perth, and if you head inland along the Swan River, there are some pleasant mountain biking and hiking trails through lush countryside.
