Adelaide Overview

Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, and with its location and scenery, is one of the most pleasant and attractive cities in the whole country. Adelaide is perhaps the best laid out city in the world, with a straightforward street plan, and a central area surrounded by lush parkland, open spaces, and leisure facilities Adelaide offers many tourist attractions including an good nightlife, fantastic shopping, and of course, a number of good quality art galleries and museums.

Adelaide is located on the Gulf of Saint Vincent on Australia's south coast, and within a short drive or bus ride of the city centre, there are a number of good sandy beaches to sunbathe on during the summer. North of the city, you can soon find yourself in the Mount Lofty Mountain Range where there are plenty of hiking opportunities and the chance to camp out in the bush if you fancy roughing it for a few days.
