Virgin Atlantic now plans on breaking through even more frontiers

Not content with just crossing the Atlantic in a balloon, crossing the English Channel in an amphibious vessel, Richard Branson now plans on conquering the vast wildernesses of Earth’s oceans. Branson has just announced that he is planning to build a submarine that is capable of exploring the lowest depths of the oceans. The ocean venture, along with Virgin’s space programme is one of the adventures that the billionaire is now planning for.

Virgin Atlantic striving to be a better airline

Virgin Atlantic work hard at their customer care but know that there are always improvements to be made when it comes to being the best airline.  To help them get the customers perspective on the airline Virgin Atlantic have launched a new online industry airline and trying to encourage their online customers and travel agent partners to fill the questionnaire out to help them see how each customer/partner views their airline.  In return for the customer filling out the survey the will be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a ticket to Hong Kong.

Virgin Atlantic crew member jailed for drug trafficking

In Nigeria, Lagos a Virgin Atlantic crew member was sentenced to 18 months in jail. Mohammed Wudil heard the ruling of his case which was ready by Justice Peter Olayiwola of the Federal High Court in Lagos.  Wudil also got fined 250,000 naira (US$2,118) which will be paid to the Federal government.

Virgin Atlantic cause flight delays

V.C. Bird International airport in Antigua was shut down for seven hours today and all aircrafts coming in to land were diverted after a virgin Atlantic aircraft was coming into land and ran off the runway and sank its nose wheel in the soil at the side of the runway.

Virgin Plane disrupts Antigua

V.C. Bird International airport in Antigua was shut down for seven hours today and all aircrafts coming in to land were diverted after a virgin Atlantic aircraft was coming into land and ran off the runway and sank its nose wheel in the soil at the side of the runway.

The Virgin Atlantic aircraft was on schedule for take-off and was turning around at the end of the runway, preparing for it take-off when the Boeing 747 400 seem to fall off the runway.
None of the 431 passengers or 18 crew members who were on board was hurt.

Disruptions for Virgin Nigeria flight at Gatwick

Whilst the Virgin flight to Nigeria was parked at Gatwick airport waiting for its scheduled take off and incident occurred where damage was done to the nose cowl, which left the aircraft standing and the flight had to be cancelled and rescheduled the Lagos/London inbound and out bound flights.

Virgin Holidays announce plans for new VIP lounge at Gatwick

Virgin holidays have announced they now have plans to build a new VIP lounge at London Gatwick airport. The New VIP lounge which will be named V ROOM is set to open in spring 2008. Virgin Holidays new V ROOM will occupy 7,340 square feet of London Gatwick airport and will be exclusive for Virgin Holiday passengers only, who are on flights to New York or any other long haul holiday to USA etc.

The V ROOM will have 3 distinct areas, one for children, one for families and another for adults only. All three areas will have floor to ceiling windows with views of dual aspect runways to enable passengers to watch aircrafts landing and taking off. Each area will include services that have the finesse and humour which all Virgin holidays include.
