UAE’s Airline claim a demand for flights to Italy

Published: 26/06/08

UAE’s two largest airlines, Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways have said that the demand for flights to Italian cities is in demand.

Emirates Airline has said in its latest figures the load factors on daily flights to Rome, Milan and Venice are around 90%.  Both airlines have said the increase in demand would warrant extra flight services of double daily flights, especially to Rome and Milan, but this would depend on whether the Italian government will agree to the extra flights.

Etihad Airways have already introduced a three times weekly flight service to Milan in September and they were also hoping to increase the flights to Milan to a daily service if the Italian government would agree.
