Qantas Airways reach a decision with an employer group.

Qantas Airways the Airline based in Sydney, Australia has been in discussions with an employer group and have come to a five year agreement which will open up over 2,000 jobs for long haul, full time cabin crew over the next three years.

The new employer group will start interviewing and hiring the full time cabin crew early next year and they will be making an effort to maintain the offshore crewing levels to 25 percent.

Qantas is one of the airlines that are awaiting delivery of the Airbus A380 ‘Superjumbos’ which will operate most of Qantas airlines major international routes including flights to Buenos Aires, London and San Francisco. The extra cabin crew are needed to work on this new aircraft.
