Etihad Airways have signed a new agreement with the Beirut-based carrier; Middle East Airlines (MEA) which will enable Lebanon based air travellers greater access to the expanding global network.
This new deal between Etihad Airlines and Middle East Airlines will provide Lebanon air travellers with a choice of 14 more weekly routes from Lebanon to the United Arab Emirates.
This new deal is scheduled to come into play on the 14th January 2008. These 14 extra weekly routes to the UAE will be in addition to Etihad’s original nine flights, five of which are already flown by Middle East Airlines.
The new increase in flight services from Lebanon which will only be possible from this code-share between Etihad Airlines and Middle East Airlines, has been calculated to increase passengers travelling through Lebanon to over a quarter, to provide more connection flights to Abu Dhabi from Beirut
