International Aviation pact on tranatlantic routes.

Published: 15/06/08

International aviation teams have come together and made a pact that could mean cheaper trans-Atlantic air travel for us all. United States and European Union have signed a pact which will provide a shake-up with airlines when it comes to trans-Atlantic flights.

The new pact between the two aviation companies will mainly effect flights to Seattle for example in the USA coming from UK Airports, which up until this pact was only operated by four airlines, but now, come March any airline is open to fly trans Atlantic.

Until now British Airways, American Airlines, united Airlines and Virgin Atlantic have enjoyed the protected rights to trans-Atlantic flights with not much competition from other airlines.
Airlines that are said to potentially benefit from this pact are Delta Air Lines, Continental Airlines and US Airways.
