Gulf Air to train Bahrainis for call centre jobs

Gulf Air and the Labour fund of Bahrain have signed an agreement to train 200 Bahrainis for jobs in Gulf Air’s worldwide call centre. The agreement was signed on Monday by Labour Fund acting chief executive Abdulellah Ebrahim Al Qassimi and Gulf Air acting president and chief executive Bjšrn NŠf in front of a number of senior Gulf Air and Labour officials to witness it.
The Labour fund are providing Gulf Air with funding and support to help train 200 Bahrainis which will be the ingredient to ensuring the development of a competent Airlines.
The chosen 200 Bahrainis will be trained in groups of 15 in the hope of getting the new recruits on the phones answering calls to Gulf Air customers by June 2008.
