Girl rescued from Baggage Conveyor

Published: 27/06/08

There has been an investigation at Manchester airport when a two year old girl got climbed onto the conveyor belt at Manchester airport and was whisked along the winding tunnels that are meant for suitcases and luggage. An insider was reported to have said she could have been dragged through the tunnels for four miles if an engineer hadn’t seen her and pulled her from the conveyor belts.

The parents were checking in for a flight to Islamabad at the time then raised the alarm when they realised she was missing after she had wandered off.

Luckily the little girl only dropped to the first of the 3 levels of the luggage traveller system. Doctors at the hospital kept her in for surveillance over night but sent her home the next day with cuts and bruises.
