Fourth anniversary celebrations for Emirates

United Arab Emirates airline, Etihad Airways reaches another chapter in its rapid growth as it reaches its fourth anniversary on the 5th November 2007. Etihad Airways first flight took place in 2003 from its base in Abu Dhabi to Al Ain, then a week later its first commercial flight to Beirut took place.
Since then in the four years Etihad has been running they have steadily been growing and now boast of a fleet of 34 aircrafts which all fly to 45 destinations right across the middle east, Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.
Etihad Airways passenger has steadily grown with them from 340,000 in 2004 to 2.8 million in 2006. Up to now in 2007 Etihad has carried over 3.7 million passengers and expects to carry another 4.5 million passengers before the end of 2007.
One of Etihad most popular routes since its launch in October 2005 are flights to Toronto from Abu Dhabi via Brussels.
