Cathay Pacific Staff threaten strike action

Cathay Pacific Airways’ staff have threatened to strike over the busy Christmas period due to a new medical insurance plan.
The new medical insurance plan consists of cabin crew paying a standard fee out of their wages for doctor and specialist consultations. In the previous policy staff did not have to pay any fees to see a doctor, so this announcement has come as a bit of a surprise.
The strike could disrupt worldwide flights to Shanghai, London and Capetown.
