Cathay Pacific Airways to increase fleet

Cathay Pacific Airways who operate worlwide flights to Sydney, Capetown and London, have today announced that they plan to increase their fleet by 17 long haul passenger aircrafts and freighters as well as eight Airbus A330-300’s, which all values at USD1.7 billion.
The new Airbus A330-300 aircrafts will be built with the new fuel burning improvements which will help reduce the harmful impact it has on the environment. The eight Airbuses will be arriving in 2010 in the hope that when they reach 2012 Cathay Pacific’s fleet will have grown to a massive 200 aircrafts.
Cathay Pacific has also revealed today that they will be increasing their flight services and adding new routes. In the meantime before the new aircrafts arrive, they are expected to lease or acquire new aircrafts.
