Birmingham International Airport Flights (BHM) on the Up.....

Birmingham Airport in the USA managed to get more flights out on time than they did this time last year. Although their performance for time keeping was better in September than it was in October. In October 2006 recorded percentage for getting their departure flights out on time was 77 percent.

In October 2007 the departure rate was up to 85.7 percent, but according to US departure of transportation Birmingham’s airport on-time departure rate was at 87.3 percent.

The results taken from U.S departure of transportation are decided upon if the flight departs from the gate or arrives at the gate more than 15 minutes after their scheduled time of arrival. Figures show that the average landing time at Birmingham airport is 81 percent which is up from 69.6 percent in 2006.

Continental Airlines plans to expand its service at Birmingham International Airport with two daily nonstop flights to Denver, one of its major US hubs.
