Singapore Airlines reaches for the sky

Singapore Airlines pull of yet another great agreement and offer its passengers flights to the USA from London Heathrow Airport. The reason that this deal is such a coup for the airline is that it will be the only non-EU/US airline to be included in the ‘Open Skies Agreement’.
One of the reasons that the Singapore based airline may be able to take part in the ‘Open Skies Agreement’ is that it is voted year in year out as Britain’s favourite carrier of passengers on long haul international flights. The announcement adds to Singapore’s already highly rated performance this year. Singapore Airline’s have just conducted the maiden passenger flight of Airbus’ new A380. From February 2008 it will also use the new super jumbo on its London to Singapore service, which will no doubt improve airline’s already impressive reputation.
The ‘Open Skies Agreement’ for the flight to the USA still unfortunately hasn’t been given a start date and is again down to the limited number of slots at London Heathrow.
