Lufthansa take on more staff

The German airline, Lufthansa has made new plans this year to hire more than 4,300 extra employees in Germany to help cover the increase in its fleet and expansion of its global network.

Lufthansa have said that the new recruitments will include 2,000 flight attendants and up to 360 pilots, over the last three years Lufthansa have been said to have added almost 10,000 staff to there team.

In a statement, Lufthansa chief executive, Wolfgang Mayrhuber said: "Lufthansa is staying on the growth path. We are enlarging our fleet and our route network."
