There has been a long standing battle between American airlines and British airlines over the very lucrative route between New York and London and this battle is set to intensify when the US carriers plan to revamp their business and first class cabins.
United Airlines have announced refurbishments to the business and first class cabins to the amount of $165m. These refurbishments will introduce passengers to a new first and business class experience, there is said to be 15inch flat-screen televisions, lie-flat beds, and the capability to use iPods with the on-board entertainment system.
Although United Airlines are looking forward to the new upgrades, they have been a long time coming. Virgin Atlantic and British Airways have been enjoying all the latest facilities you would expect to find in business and first class cabins for a long time.
