Never one to miss a trick, British Airways is set to pounce with a great offer for Brits looking to make some great savings at Christmas. British Airways is using the weak dollar to entice British shoppers across the pond to buy cheap American goods.
The US Dollar against the British Pound hasn’t been as weak as its current state since 1981. British shoppers and tourist are able to book return flights to New York (the pick of the cities on the Eastern coast) and buy designer and electronic goods at almost half the price of what they cost in the United Kingdom.
Despite the savings, there are some issues that the bargain hunting consumers should be aware of, namely the environmental impact. Despite the environmental warning, for many people the harm caused by the flight still doesn’t outweigh the money that will be saved in potential bargains.
