American Airlines recalls workers

American Airlines is recalling and recruiting up to 250 more maintenance staff over the next 3 three months.
Gordon Clark the president of Transport Workers Union said in a statement the recall process has begun, and he expects about 30 more employees to return by the end of January to American Airlines Kansas City overhaul base. American Airlines are hoping this new recruitment programme will give them over 800 new union workers once the recall program has been completed.
Gordon Clark has also been quoted in saying “We will get proportionally fewer recalls than Tulsa or Fort Worth, because those facilities have more employees, but we expect the work in Kansas City to stay stable in 2008 and on into 2009.”
