A passenger went crazy aboard a flights destined for Bahrain from the UK, which caused a security scare.
The Asian man tried to get into the cockpit of the Gulf Air flight, just as it was preparing to take off from London Heathrow, on Sunday morning.
The captain was forced to take the plane to a holding bay, where the police boarded the plane and took the man off in handcuffs.
Police and crew then searched the flight cabin, including passengers' hand baggage and offloaded all the luggage from the hold, to ensure the man had not left anything aboard.
The incident, confirmed yesterday by a Gulf Air spokesman, delayed the flight by more than two hours.
The incident took place minutes after Flight GF002 was preparing for take-off, said Bahraini businessmen Ahmed Baqer, who was aboard.
He said a "Pakistani-looking" passenger suddenly ran screaming the full length of the cabin, from the economy seating area and began beating on the cockpit door, shouting that he wanted off the flight.
