Mobile Phones to replace no smoking signs

Certain airlines and aircarft manufacturers are now said to be replacing the No Smoking signs with No Mobiles signs. In a sign of the times manufacturers of aircrafts have now removed the No Smoking signs to leave a blank space, but soon the blank space will be filled by a No Mobiles sign which will illuminates at certain times during the flight, namely takeoff and landing. This is only available on flights throughout Europe. It is likely that soon you will be able to use your mobile phone on aircrafts while in the air for certain airlines.
Air France is currently conducting the world’s first trials on international flights. Using a system developed by Airbus associate OnAir, passengers on an Air France Airbus A318 can use their mobiles at heights over 3,000 metres just as if they were roaming in a foreign country while paying much the same rate for the service.
