Etihad to target student markets

Etihad Airways, the official airline of the United Arab Emirates is making a bold new move in trying to become a large player in the global student travel market. With more and more students taking gap years in the student years, the need for cheap, no thrills travel is in huge demand.
Etihad airways has managed a huge coup and landed a deal with STA travel, the UK based student travel agent to try and tie up part of the youth travel market. The deal gives the Abu-Dhabi based airline a new avenue to try and tap in to some markets where it currently has been unable to do so and now offer flights to South America, Russia and Scandinavia
The deal certainly appears to very beneficial for both parties. Etihad Airways can now use the STA customer base in many countries and develop its long haul flight options. For STA it allows them to offer their customers new destinations but also to give them the option to fly on one of the world’s leading international.
