Bmi gets the vote for punctuality

For the first nine months of 2007 Bmi regional celebrated being named the most punctual airline in the UK.

The Civil Aviation Authority published its statistics for the nine months and revealed that 91 per cent of bmi’s flights took off within the 15 minute time gap of their planned departure time.

Delays by Bmi regional averaged six minutes from airports including Aberdeen Airport, Edinburgh, Glasgow Airport and Leeds/Bradford.

Bmi has collected the most punctual award overall in 2005 and 2006.

Over this period, its parent airline Bmi was named the most punctual airline operating out of Heathrow Airport, ahead of its rivals British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
