Mobile Phones to replace no smoking signs
Certain airlines and aircarft manufacturers are now said to be replacing the No Smoking signs with No Mobiles signs. In a sign of the times manufacturers of aircrafts have now removed the No Smoking signs to leave a blank space, but soon the blank space will be filled by a No Mobiles sign which will illuminates at certain times during the flight, namely takeoff and landing. This is only available on flights throughout Europe. It is likely that soon you will be able to use your mobile phone on aircrafts while in the air for certain airlines.

Air France: Profits double.
Air France Airlines, part of the KLM Group, earlier this year increased airfares.
Despite this in the second quarter of this year Air France doubled their profit from what was estimated. They sold even more air travel tickets to emerging economy countries such as flights to china and flights to India.

AirFrance Speed up talks over Alitalia
AirFrance has pushed forward its plans to make a bid for the struggling Italian airline Alitalia who was a major European operator with flights to Paris and London. The move for the airliner has been brought forward to enable the airline to be bought out (49 per cent of the airline is owned by the Italian Government) before the political crisis that is brewing there wrecks the deal entirely.
